Lead Processing Engine
The Lead Processing Engine is the infrastructure behind carpilot.ai. It receives leads and data from any source, enriches them and transfers them into the different systems used by dealers. Platforms, OEMs, importers and other lead providers such as voice-AI services can connect to dealer systems without requiring dealerships to change their systems.
Are you a dealership? The Lead Assistant is built for you. It uses the Lead Processing Engine in the background.
What the engine can do
- After review, we connect new sources and destination systems without requiring dealers to change anything.
- Output in the common formats used by dealer systems, from XML by email to direct API connections.
- A documented API with an OpenAPI reference for onboarding new partners.
How the engine works
- Input
- Marketplace APIs, OEM and importer portals, web forms, inboxes, and conversation summaries from call centres and voice-AI providers.
- Processing
- The engine converts every format into a consistent lead model, forwards duplicate enquiries only once, enriches leads using self-hosted AI models and applies the rules of the relevant dealer.
- Output
- Handover in the format required by the destination system. Delivery and acceptance confirmations are returned to the source. The engine only reports the handling status of individual leads if the dealer has authorised it; the dealer's own metrics remain with the dealer.

Building blocks
Two architectures on the same engine
Dealership
Many lead sources, one destination system. This is what the Lead Assistant builds on.
Platform or OEM
One source, many dealers using different systems. The engine translates into each of them.

Connect once if you generate leads
Do you generate leads through voice AI, chat or your own platform and need to deliver them to dealers? Connect once to the Lead Processing Engine. We bring your leads into dealer systems without requiring you to integrate each system individually.

Self-hosted AI models in Germany. Your data remains your data.
The Lead Processing Engine uses self-hosted AI models on infrastructure in Germany, designed to meet stringent data protection and regulatory requirements. Your data is not used to train AI models, and every step remains fully traceable. This allows OEMs and platforms to bring data into automotive retail without giving up control over it.

Security, built by people who understand it
At carpilot.ai, security is not an afterthought. Our AI models are self-hosted and run on German infrastructure. Our team includes cybersecurity talent from the Saarland University ecosystem, one of Europe's leading centres for IT security research. Together with our research partner HillcrownAI, we are advancing secure AI made in Germany.

The Lead Assistant for dealerships runs on this engine.
